Ethyleneglycol-dimethacrylate (EGDMA) is an acrylic resin monomer often used in dentistry, its polymer being a component of provisional and permanent dental prothesis. Polymerization is obtained through kneading the powdered monomer in the hands with a specific liquid. It is also found in antifreeze and coolants, hydraulic fluids, and in the manufacture of low-freezing resins.
