Ferrous sulphate is used to fortify foods and treat iron-deficiency anemia. It can also be used to stain concrete. It is used by woodworkers to color maple wood and in horticulture as a lawn conditioner and moss killer. Ferrous sulphate is also used to purify water in industrial sewage treatment plants.
